SENATE HOLDS PUBLIC HEARING ON TAX REFORM BILLS

The Nigerian Senate has commenced a two-day public hearing on proposed tax reform bills, aiming to align tax laws with current economic realities.
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Sani Musa, assured transparency and national interest in the process, stressing the need for equity, fairness, and inclusivity.
Key stakeholders, including Finance Minister Wale Edun, FIRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji, NNPCL CEO Mele Kyari, and Customs Comptroller General Adewale Adeniyi, attended the hearing. Musa urged public participation to help shape a tax system that drives growth and prosperity.
