The evening featured mesmerizing poetry and musical performances, leading to the highlight—Ibejimma @ibejimma. The play, lasting nearly two hours, had guests completely captivated, their attention unwavering until the very end.
After the play, the DG of NCAC, Chief Obi Asika @obiasika, commended Alfie Nze and expressed his admiration for Ibejimma, stating it was a masterpiece deserving of national theater stages for wider audiences.
The event saw dignitaries from all corners, including former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed @hmiclaimohammed; DG of the National Film and Video Censors Board, Shaibu Husseini @igalaman; Tola Akerele @tola_akerele, DG of the National Theatre; senators; and both local and international stakeholders—each coming together to celebrate the best of Nigeria’s arts and culture.
