The All Progressives Congress, APC led by the reconciliation committee chairman, Senator Jibrin Usman wowo has taken a major step towards resolving differences among APC party members in Abaji Area Council.

Speaking during the meeting, Senator wowo stated that the resolution committee was assembled by the national headquarters of the party to resolve the factions difference lingering and eating the party in our locality.

APC is a grassroots political party and mending fences will enable it to wax stronger to see victory in the forthcoming FCT 2026 Chairmanship election as a reality that we must achieve.

He commended the Executive Chairman Abaji Area Council Honourable Abubakar Umar Abdullahi, for striving towards ensuring that the aggrieved members of the party are reconciled. The everyday massive decamping to the ruling party is a testament of his commitment on how the FCT APC party keep getting stronger.

Furthermore, He expressed optimism in the leadership style of AUA , noting that the party was already witnessing mass return of members who left for other parties.

The Executive Chairman Abaji Area Council Honourable Abubakar Umar Abdullahi Welcomed the Chairman and other members of the reconciliation committee to Abaji Area Council, which he joyfully tagged as the home of All Progressive Congress (APC).

Your Excellency Sir, from the look of audience present here today, you will understand and agree with me that Abaji Area Council is a home of APC in the Federal Capital Territory, and whomsoever is not here today, be rest assured that he/she is not part of the APC family.

The Executive Chairman Abaji Area Council Honourable Abubakar Umar Abdullahi appealed to the grief-stricken members of the party to sheathe their swords and embrace the idea behind the peace and reconciliation process for the good of the party and the wellbeing of Abaji Area Council at large.

We believe we cannot move forward if we are not together, bonded together. And as we are moving now, a lot of people have started seeing that indeed, there is light in the tunnel, and positive people are coming back to their respective home (APC), and by Allah grace, we will replicate our past successes in 2026. He added.

Under my watch as the Executive Chairman Abaji Area Council, Irrespective of the factions, I vehemently conjoined with the members of my cabinet to rally round some parts of Abuja south hood to campaign for APC in 2023 general election. At such, I called on elected officials and political officeholders appointed on the platform of the party to respect and take party supremacy serious.
As the leader of APC in Abaji Area Council, i am aware of some Elected officials and political office holders threatening to revolt against the ruling party by voting against its anointed candidates and in extension finance another aspirant/candidates to contest against the party. If found wanting, the ruling party will have no choice than to eliminate him or her from the party.

In attendance, Kwali Area Council Chairman, Gwagwalada Area Council Chairman, Dr Alh Yahaya Musa Arada, Hajiya Farida Sulieman odangi, Honourable Adamu shuaibu, Ten ward Councilor among others.
