Honourable Commissioner of Public Complaints Commission FCT, Hon. Musa Dikko, embarked on a crucial familiarity tour of communities within the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. The visit aimed to strengthen ties with traditional leaders and address pressing issues affecting residents.

Dikko’s first stop was the Emir of Jiwa’s Palace, where he met with His Royal Highness Alhaji Idris Musa. The Emir utilized the opportunity to emphasize the need for the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) to sensitize, particularly indigenous people, on their rights and how to demand them. He also expressed concern over the lack of proper resettlement areas in the FCT, highlighting the challenges faced by communities like the recently demolished Gishiri Community.

Hon. Dikko reiterated his commitment to making the Commission’s services more accessible to all residents, regardless of location. This aligns with the Public Complaints Commission’s mandate, established in 1975 to address administrative injustices and promote citizens’ rights.

The Commissioner also visited the Sapeyi of Garki, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr) Usman Nga Kupi, who congratulated him on his appointment. The royal father pledged to collaborate with Dikko to achieve desired results, prayed for his success, and urged him to advocate for the wellbeing of residents and original inhabitants of the FCT.

This courtesy visit marks a significant step in the Commission’s synergy with royal fathers to address problems faced by the original inhabitants of the FCT. By fostering partnerships with traditional leaders, the Commission aims to enhance its impact and better serve the residents of the Federal Capital Territory.
