Man of Peace Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda MFR, CON. Senate Minority Leader of 9th Senate FCT Senate

Philip Tanimu Aduda (MFR) is a Nigerian politician and senator representing the Federal Capital Territory. He was born in Karu FCT, on June 13, 1969 into the family of Rt. Rev Tanimu Samari Aduda (the Bishop of Gwagwalada), and Chief (Mrs.) Jummai Tanimu Aduda, the president and founder of Grassroot Associations of Nigeria and International Grassroot Association.

Aduda obtained his O’ Level results from Government Secondary School, Gwagwalada in 1987 and then went to Kaduna State Polytechnic where he obtained Diploma in 1990. He obtained another Diploma in Social works and Social Development from the University of Jos in 1992.

While as a Managing Director of Aduda Nigeria Limited from 1992 to 1995 he enrolled for a Higher Diploma program in Public Administration at Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Abuja Campus which he obtained in 1997.

In 1996 Aduda ran as an independent and was elected a Councilor of Karu Ward, Abuja, and held various positions on the Abuja Municipal Area Council.

He was elected as Member of the House of Representatives for AMAC/Bwara in Abuja (2003–2007), and was appointed Chairman, of the House committee on Federal Capital Territory, and member of other committees.

He was re-elected to represent Bwari Area, Abuja in the House of Representatives in 2008. In October 2009 he was given the Best Performing Legislator Award for his contribution to the development of the people.

Senator Philip Aduda is a Christian and is married and blessed with children. He embraces the peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians and so far has built numerous Mosques and Islamic schools in the FCT.
