Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has thrown his full support behind the highly anticipated South West Games 2025, hailing it as a groundbreaking initiative set to empower youth and drive socioeconomic growth across the region.

The Governor made this strong endorsement while hosting Akogun Lanre Alfred, President of the South West Games, and members of the Organizing Committee at the State House in Osogbo. In a moment of excitement, he and his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, were presented with customized tournament jerseys ahead of the event.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Governor Adeleke pledged to attend the games in person when they kick off on March 25, 2025.

“This is more than just a sports tournament; it’s a transformative movement that will redefine the future of our youth. Sports have the power to inspire, uplift, and create pathways to greatness. I am proud to endorse this noble cause and will be there live to witness history in the making,” he declared.

The South West Games 2025 will bring together 1,200 athletes and 120 officials from all six states in the region, promising an electrifying festival of talent, unity, and competition. With Adeleke’s backing, the tournament is poised to become a landmark event in Nigerian sports history.
