Representatives of E1 Powerboat Racing and Team Drogba, led by African football icon Didier Drogba, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu alongside Honourable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Lagos State, Mrs Toke Benson Awoyinka.

As the only African team in the E1 World Championship—an all-electric boat racing series—Team Drogba’s presence reinforces Lagos’ growing reputation as a hub for eco-friendly tourism and international sporting collaborations. With up to 12 teams competing globally in the E1 Championship, this visit marks a significant step in positioning Lagos for future partnerships in sustainable sports.
