The DG of NCAC, Mr.Obi Asika Promises to Make Subsequent NAFEST Cultural Olympics

The Director General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, Mr. Obi Asika has promised to bring Nigeria, Africa and the whole world to standstill in subsequent editions of the National Festival of Arts and Culture(NAFEST). He made the promise while declaring the festival closed on Monday night, 30th of November, 2024. Mr. Asika who was visibly elated at both the turn out and the success recorded during the 36th edition of the festival, where 27 states and the Federal Capital Territory participated and contested for trophies, stated that as a first timer at the helm of affairs of the implementation agency, NCAC, he has understudy the festival and would bring in more energy and visibility into subsequent editions in order to make it a cultural Olympics. He used the occasion to appreciate management and staff of the Council for zealously guiding him and ensuring the resounding success achieved
at the festival. He thanked the FCT Minister, Bar Nyesom Wike for providing the necessary assistance to make the festival a huge success. Mr. Asika hailed the spirit of sportsmanship exhibited by participating states and the FCT at the festival and promised to continuously make the festival a worthwhile experience.
