In his bid to foster administrative best practices and good governance within companies in the Federal Capital Territory, the FCT Commissioner Public Complaints Commission, Honorable Musa Dikko alongside his team today paid an advocacy visit to the Julius Berger Nigeria Limited in Abuja.

The Honorable Commissioner leading the State Director Investigation’s FCT, Mrs Irene Chuka Ogbogu, Deputy Director investigation Mrs Jideri Agbese alongside the Public Relations team were received by the Director Administration of the construction giant company, Dr Alh. Abdulaziz Kaita.

Musa Dikko commended the Director Administration for recognizing the Commission’s impact in fighting against administrative injustice and providing impartial investigation on behalf of complainants across the FCT.

Dr (Alhaji) Abdulaziz Kaita while welcoming the FCT Ombudsman stated that the Public Complaints Commission has had a cordial relationship with Julius Berger Nigeria PLC in ensuring administrative justice to its employees and ensuring the rights of the employees are protected.

He stated that Julius Berger is currently the highest employer of labor in the Nigeria, with a record of 9,600 staff while commending the Public Complaints Commission for fostering peace and understanding with Julius Berger over the years.

Honorable Musa Dikko in his reaction, commended Julius Berger Nigeria PLC for fostering peace with the indigenous people of FCT, providing employment and fostering social responsibilities to the FCT communities and expressed his appreciation while encouraging Julius Berger to sustain and further strengthen their collaborative efforts with Public Complaints Commission.

The visit to Julius Berger Nigeria PLC today was preceded by a visit to another construction company operating in the Federal Capital Territory: Gilmor Engineering Nigeria Limited wherein the FCT Ombudsman commended the leadership of the company for its endeavor in fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility to host communities of its construction sites and maintenance of zero complaints from its staff and publics in the records of the Commission.

Hon. Dikko maintained that Gilmor’s the Corporate Social Responsibility is effective and called for more collaboration with the company for effective service delivery while imploring them to lodge complaints with the Commission where they feel intimidated or treated unjustly by communities and people.

Received by it’s it’s Financial Controller and Head of Operations Mr Took, Gilmor Engineering Nigeria Limited appreciated the Commission for it’s interventions and collaboration that has enabled it achieve peace in their various construction sites and and declared that the company is part and parcel of the Nigerian community and will not do anything to jeopardize it’s peace.
